RIDE DIFFERENT
What Makes a CraftedMoto Ride Different
Because real India is not found on fixed itineraries. It is crafted, one expedition at a time.
Maximum 4 Riders
Your group, full stop. No shared departures, no strangers, no waiting for the slowest rider. Maximum four riders - your pace, your decisions.

Most motorcycle tours in India run 12-20 riders with fixed dates, fixed stops, and a convoy pace. We cap groups at four so every day can adapt to your riding style, energy, and route choices in real time.
100% Personalized
Your dates, your pace, your terrain. Nothing is fixed until you say so.

We shape daily riding hours, rest days, accommodation style, and route sections around your preference, not a pre-built departure template.
Ride at Your Own Energy
Social activities are entirely optional. Need silence? Want to ride alone? Zero pressure, zero judgment.

If you want a quiet evening after a hard riding day, we respect that. If you want a shared dinner and route chat, we support that too. The pace of the day and the social rhythm stay in your control.
Real Routes, Really Explored
Every route has been personally ridden before we offer it. Not from guidebooks - from our own handlebars.

We test logistics, road condition changes, permit realities, and fallback options before putting any route in front of a guest. That includes offbeat sections in Ladakh, Spiti, Rajasthan, and the Konkan coast where standard groups usually do not ride.
Everything Handled
Permits, mechanics, stays, fuel, airport transfers, GPS tracks. You show up. We handle everything else.

Every expedition includes support planning from arrival to departure, including restricted-area permit workflows and route-specific logistics that are easy to miss when planning independently.
Year-Round Riding
Ladakh in summer, Rajasthan and South India in winter, Konkan coast through the cooler months. We match your travel window to the right terrain.

Instead of forcing one destination into a bad weather window, we align your dates with the region that rides best at that time of year.
FOUNDED BY RIDERS
"Started with a broken clutch cable at 14,000 ft (4,267 m) in Ladakh in 2014. Ten years and 50,000 km later, this became CraftedMoto."
That first crossing was solo, under-planned, and fixed with a piece of wire from a truck driver who had no reason to stop but did. We built CraftedMoto around that version of India - real roads, real support, and real first-hand route knowledge.
WHERE WE RIDE
Routes Beyond the Guidebooks
After a decade exploring India, we know roads that don't exist on Google Maps or TripAdvisor

LADAKH — THE HIMALAYAS
17,000+ feet high-altitude adventure
The tourist loop ends at Pangong Tso and turns around. We go past the Shyok Valley to Wari La (17,388 ft / 5,300 m), across the Changthang plateau to Marsimik La and the nomadic Rebo camps near the Tibetan border. The villages of Lato and Nyoma see almost no foreign motorcyclists. Permits most operators do not apply for, on roads that require them because almost nobody else goes there.
ExploreSPITI VALLEY
The Middle Land
Mud village is the end of a side road that most riders skip because it adds a day. Demul at 14,500 ft (4,420 m) is a grazing settlement above the Spiti River with fewer than 40 permanent residents and a view down the valley that makes the extra climb worth it. The water crossings between Losar and Batal in late June are knee-deep on a loaded Himalayan. Chandratal before 7am, before the day-trippers arrive from Kaza. Spiti is what Ladakh felt like in 2005.

What Riders Say
Real experiences from riders who chose the road less traveled
"After three disappointing large-group tours, I finally found CraftedMoto. Just me and two other riders for 12 days through Rajasthan. We rode at our pace, stopped when we wanted, explored villages tourists never see. This is how India should be experienced.

Rajasthan Desert Backroads · October 2025
"As an introvert, I was dreading the 'forced fun' of typical group tours. CraftedMoto was perfect—small group, optional dinners, flexibility to explore alone. Plus those hidden Konkan routes? Absolutely stunning. Worth every penny.

Konkan Coast Secrets · November 2025
"We've ridden with 4 different companies in Europe and Asia. CraftedMoto stands out—truly personalized itinerary, expert local knowledge, perfect logistics. Felt like riding with knowledgeable friends, not a corporate tour.

"As a solo female rider, safety and autonomy were my top priorities. CraftedMoto gave me the perfect balance of independence and discreet support. I rode through Spiti Valley completely at peace, knowing everything was handled. An unforgettable journey.

Everything Included. Nothing Hidden.
You Ride. We Handle Everything.
From airport to airport, every detail managed. You just show up and experience.
10 Years of Perfected Logistics
The logistics of riding India are genuinely complex. Restricted area permits take weeks to process. The right mechanics are the ones who know a specific valley, not just Royal Enfields in general. Accommodation that works for a small private group is different from accommodation that works for a 20-person convoy. We have been figuring this out since 2014 so that by the time you arrive, none of it requires your attention.
What You Arrange Separately
International flights, travel insurance (mandatory), lunches (flexibility to explore local spots), and personal expenses.
Pricing Context:Most 10–14 day expeditions range from $3,500–$6,500 USD per rider, all-inclusive except flights and insurance.
Questions International Riders Ask Before Booking
Do I need riding experience in India before joining an expedition?
You need solid adventure riding experience from your home country - off-road confidence, comfort on gravel and loose surfaces, and at least 2-3 years of regular riding. You do not need India experience. We handle the complexity of Indian roads, traffic, and logistics so you can focus on riding. What India experience cannot be substituted for is basic off-road skill. Riders who have only ridden paved roads will find routes like Spiti or Zanskar genuinely dangerous.
What is the best time of year for a motorcycle tour of India?
It depends entirely on the region. Ladakh and Spiti are only accessible June to September when the high passes are clear of snow. Rajasthan rides best October to March when the desert is cool. The Konkan coast and South India are best November to February. Northeast India works October to April. We match your available travel window to the right terrain - there is no single best season for all of India.
What motorcycles do you use and can I bring my own bike?
We use the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 as our flagship expedition machine. It is the right tool for India - the suspension handles Himalayan rubble, the power is adequate for 17,000-ft (5,182 m) passes, and spares are available everywhere in India. The older 411cc version is available on some routes. Bringing your own motorcycle from abroad is logistically complex (Carnet de Passage, shipping timelines, customs) and we generally advise against it unless you have strong reasons.
How does pricing work and what is included?
Most 10-14 day expeditions run $3,500-$6,500 USD per rider, fully inclusive except international flights, travel insurance, and lunches. Included: motorcycle, all fuel, accommodation, all restricted area permits, support vehicle with mechanic, airport transfers, GPS tracks, and 24/7 emergency support. No hidden fees.
